Keramaian Semarang

A new day start when the clock turn into 00.00, right? So, our second day was begin when it turn to 00.00 on 20 January 2008. And when the second day began, we were still on the bus… Maybe some of you will questioning “were the seatmate and I still be the most wanted person to be kill on the bus?” The answer is…. “MAY”, a.k.a maybe yes…maybe no… (Ringgo, nyontek ya…. Hehe) “Why?” Because the seatmate and I were still talked during the vacation, but we started to feel tired and sleepy, so we were started to follow what others did, that is TRY TO SLEEP.

Unfortunately, the adaptation process of both of us was a little bit slow, then we were a little bit hard to sleep well. We were able to sleep, but it was not such a good sleep. So, while we finally woke up, we started the unimportant conversation all over again (*for clearer understanding, please refer to the previous post). And once again, sorry guys for disturbed your sweet dreams. Peace yo….

Just like a famous song, “Supir juga Manusia” (halah, ini sih seenak2nya saya aja ngubah judulnya) and “Peserta juga Manusia” (ini juga…hehe…), we stopped several times to take a rest, take a pi, and take a drink.

Anyway, we continued the journey and arrived at Semarang in the morning. Oh ya, before we entered Semarang City, we passed a city named Kaliwungu, which is well known as a cartoonist city.

Arrived in Semarang, we stopped in Restaurant Istana and having pre-breakfast there. Hmm, what does it mean with ‘pre-breakfast’? We had our first meal there (bread and hot tea/coffee), but it was not categorized as breakfast, because we got the real breakfast on McDonald near Ciputra Hotel at Simpang Lima.

The Bus Stopped in front of the restaurant

Finished with the pre-breakfast, we continued our journey to see Semarang City. Then, we have our ‘real breakfast’. Actually, most of the finalists didn’t expect to have breakfast in McDonald, because most of us thought that we would eat traditional food from Semarang. When we confirmed to the committee, the reason of having breakfast at McDonald was because when we arrived (it was still in the morning), such big restaurants in Semarang didn’t open yet, and if we eat at Simpang Lima, there was an anxiety that they couldn’t provide enough food for many people all at once (FYI, our group consisted around 30 people). And if you questioning why we can have our pre-breakfast at Restaurant Istana even though it was earlier in the morning, it was because Restaurant Istana is owned by one of the committee, Ko Rony.

Actually, we were supposed to arrive at Kudus before lunch time, because we would have our lunch at Hotel Grypta, Kudus. But, the committee decided to visit some historical and famous spots at Semarang before we continue to Kudus (it was a good decision then =p ). We stopped at…. LAWANG SEWU, the building which is believed having 1000 doors. Hmm, if you want to know the story of the journey to Lawang Sewu, you should wait for the next part of the story…. Just be patient guys…

And now, I just will give you some pictures of Semarang City… Just take a look and enjoy it…. Don’t worry! I’ll be back… soon… =)
